What We Believe

At First United Methodist Church of Morrilton, we believe that faith is more than a set of ideas—it’s a way of life shaped by God’s grace, guided by Scripture, and lived out in love.

God’s Grace

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who loves us unconditionally.
Through Jesus Christ, God offers forgiveness, renewal, and the promise of eternal life.
God’s grace goes before us, calls us into relationship, transforms our hearts, and sends us out to serve.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior.
Through His life, death, and resurrection, we experience the fullness of God’s love and the hope of new life.
Following Jesus means striving to live as He lived—loving God completely and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s active presence in the world and in our lives.
The Spirit empowers us to grow in faith, strengthens us in times of struggle, and equips us to serve with joy and courage.

The Church

We are part of the global body of Christ.
As members of this body, we gather for worship, prayer, study, and service.
Our mission is simple but life-changing:
To make disciples of Jesus Christ who know and love God, love others, serve the community, and share Christ.

Living Our Faith

Faith isn’t meant to stay inside the walls of the church.
We seek to put our beliefs into action—caring for our neighbors, feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, and offering hope to all.
When we live out our faith together, we help build God’s Kingdom right here in Morrilton and beyond.
